Human capital is a primary factor in creating and maintaining a successful business model. Employees collectively focused on an organization’s strategic goals create a competitive advantaged value model for success. As a result, it is critical that leaders recognize and nurture talent because “regardless of labor market conditions, outstanding employees are always in short supply” (Neck, Houghton & Murray, 2019). Comprising the human capital of diverse individuals with unique talents and strengths enhances the business model, builds a stronger product or service, and supports a progressive culture.
